Pat George Appears at Anti-Drug Conference in Tennessee
Rep. Pat George recently appeared at a conference hosted by the organization "Community Anti-Drug Coalitions Across Tennessee" entitled “Making Sense in Dollars, Making Sense in Lives” --
Prevention…Treatment…Recovery. Here is what Rep. George had to say about his appearance:
The Tennessee legislators were very interested in what other states were doing to fight Substance Abuse Disorders. From my work with the “Bluprint for States” panel I was able to supply them with best practices and the states that have seen positive results from implementing these measures. I pointed out that in our own state of Kansas we have been able to secure more funding for Addiction prevention and treatment by educating fellow legislators on the parameters of the disease and what can be done to help.-- Pat George
